GOLETA, CA, June 10, 2019 – Pacific Design Technologies, Inc. (“PDT”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Brown as President. Mr. Brown will be responsible for the overall leadership of the Goleta site. Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Quality and Administration Departments will report to him. He will be based in Goleta, California and report to PDT’s CEO, Richard Fisher.

Mr. Brown has over 30 years of Aerospace Manufacturing and Design experience with a focus on new technology. In his most recent role as V.P. of Operations position he was responsible for revenue generation, new product development, and Lean implementation for operational efficiency. Prior to that, Mike had been the Director of Engineering and Program Management at PDT.  Under his leadership, PDT advanced its capability to support full rate production on B-787 Dreamliner Bootstrap Reservoirs and added Vapor Cycle Cooling Systems to the company’s technology portfolio.    Mike has strengthened PDT’s Electrical Engineering capabilities including an electronics lab for the design and testing of 270 Vdc Motor Controllers.  Additionally, he developed PDT’s Program Management department to include three certified Program Management Professionals (PMP) to manage complex Tier 2 programs; such as F16 and F18 AESA Radar Liquid Cooling Systems.  He has a wealth of experience in technology development, Lean Manufacturing and proven leadership skills.

In announcing the appointment, Rich Fisher comments, “Mike’s Aerospace Engineering and Manufacturing experience coupled with his excellent management and communications skills will lead PDT to become the global preferred supplier of Thermal Management product for the Aero Space Industry”

Mr. Brown holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the California State Polytechnic University- Pomona and received a Master’s of Business Administration degree from California State University – Channel Islands. He joined the PDT team in 2007.
