Goleta, CA – April 17, 2015 – Pacific Design Technologies, Inc. (PDT) With great excitement, Pacific Design Technologies, Inc. announces its 15th anniversary as a world class supplier of hydraulic lube and scavenge pumps, thermal management systems, and components for the commercial aerospace, defense and space industries.

PDT was founded in April 2000 as a small business concern with a cadre of highly experienced engineers, technicians and administrative support. Quickly establishing itself as the “go to” company for Jet Propulsion Laboratories and other NASA agencies for liquid cooling systems and pump technology, PDT excels in all disciplines of thermal and fluid engineering.

This expertise has led PDT to be involved in every rover-related mission to MARS for the past 15 years. Today PDT is the only company in the world with an active cooling system operating on another planet, servicing the Rover Curiosity. Leveraging its strength in packaging components where there are severe constraints on SWaP parameters, PDT has been selected by a myriad of Tier 1 OEMs to support such important defense programs as Patriot, ALQ-99, ALQ-184, F-16 SABR and MALD. Pacific Design Technologies has also expanded its footprint in the commercial aerospace market sector with bootstrap reservoir technology on the 787 Dreamliner and fuel pump technology for the business jet APU market.

These and many other programs have provided positive organic growth for the company, transforming it from a R&D concern to a high volume manufacturer of critical technology within its short life as an independent small business. PDT has strived to retain its organizational flexibility, innovative engineering and down home leadership style, meeting or exceeding its customers expectations. Rich Fisher, President of Pacific Design Technologies, sums it up best by saying “The last fifteen years have been a professionally rich and rewarding time and we look forward to what the next fifteen has in store for us.”
